$@!# technology!

Ok, so I don't have anyone else to blame but myself, but I still curse technology.  Why?  I lost my laptop last week to an unfortunate flooding of water onto my keypad (ok, it was more like a spill) and now I am suffering major withdrawl.  I have come to realize that my dependence on technology has ruined my life...permanently!

Kettleworx...one fitness bandwagon I won't be joining

Disclaimer: I changed the title of this thread and edited some portions.  The title was a bit immature and did not help get my point across; however, I still stand by my opinions.

Back in the spring, I found the Kettleworx six week program on sale at Sports Authority and thought I'd give it a try.  While the 20 lb kettlebell that came with the program was a quality-made product, I found myself selling the DVD set on Craigslist.  I wasn't really sure what exactly it was that made me dislike the program, but after perusing the Kettleworx website recent, it finally downed on me...Kettleworx creator Ryan Shanahan grates my nerves.

My plantar fasciitis is killing me

So awhile back I bragged about my new pair of Nikes and how they should have been the end-all, be-all of cross-trainers.  While they are a great pair of shoes and have helped me a lot, I can't help but feel as if I'm doomed to be stuck in plantar fasciitis hell for the rest of life.

My Inspiration

I haven't discussed it too much here, but I absolutely Chalene Johnson and her vast array of products, most of which are exclusively sold with Beachbody.  I own two of her workout systems, ChaLEAN Extreme (CLX) and TurboFire (TF).  Not only are these top-notch products, but Chalene herself is fun, easy-going, and very motivational.  In almost all her programs, Chalene enlists her friend, Toni Beier-Cook.

Grammar errors

I was perusing through some of my past and noticed a ridiculous amount grammar and mechanical errors.  As a former journalism major and writing junkie, that's embarrassing!

Not all food is created equally

In my last blog, I talked about how my love for almost all foods is sometimes my downfall in terms of dieting and trying to stay healthy.

Well, I'd also like to mention that I have no love the McDonalds franchise and that monstrosity of a sandwich known as the McRib.

Sometimes I wish food wasn't so fabulously delicious

When it comes to food, I make no apologies regarding my love for it.  I'm a foodie and damn proud.

At the same time, my love affair with food is my downfall.

Laziness is taking over my life

I always feel bad when I miss a day of working out.  When I miss 2 days, I feel like I might as well give up and eat a bucket of fried chicken.

I'm not too far away from my fitness goals, but I never feel like they are fully in my grasp.

I need some inspiration.  Thoughts?  Suggestions?

I hope Nike holds the answers for curing my plantar fasciitis

Anyone who exercises regular or partakes in rigorous activity knows all too well what a pain in the ass plantar fasciitis can be.  It's that throbbing pain in the heel region of your foot that becomes progressively worse upon doing high impact exercise...or when you are thinking about someone you absolutely you can't stand.  Or is that just me?

Daily workout and other musings

So today I continued my Tracy Anderson love-fest with her Post Pregnancy DVD.  Don't let the title mislead you...anyone woman can benefit from this workout.

I'm taking a break from Tracy Anderson and giving another instructor I'm not usually fond of another try.

Daily workout-10/23/10

Lately I've been really gung ho about Tracy Anderson and her method.  I'm usually one who gravitates toward heavy weights, high intensity, puking in the bucket, and no-nonsense workouts, but I've really been drawn to Anderson's unique, if not controversial approach to fitness.
